The Lady is a vamp (Spice Girls) (1997)

The Lady is a vamp is een liedje over vrouwen die (soms) een vamp zijn: een fatale vrouw (femme fatale), gemene verleidster, een geraffineerde vrouw, bebzuchtige vrouw,  knappe vrouw, een mannenverleidster, een verleidelijke vrouw, een vrouw die mannen te gronde richt, zeer geraffineerde vrouw.
De Amerikaanse filmactrice Mae West bijv. was een bekende vamp. In de film I'm no Angel (1933) speelt zij een circusartieste die niet alleen leeuwen temt, maar ook mannen het hoofd op hol brengt; vooral rijke mannen om die geld afhandig te maken.
Ook dragqueens spelen vaak de rol van een vamp. De "glam queen" in onderstaande tekst slaat waarschijnlijk op hen.
