Gay Balls en Drag Balls

Gay balls, cross dressing balls depending on the place, time, and type, were public or private balls, celebrated mainly in the first third of the twentieth century, where cross dressing and ballroom dancing with same sex partners was allowed. By the 1900s, the balls had become important cultural events for gays and lesbians, even attracting tourists. Their golden age was during the Interwar period, mainly in Berlin and Paris, even though they could be found in many big cities in Europe and the Americas.

Dragballs in Nederland
In Nederland wordt sinds 2015  ieder jaar een dragball georganiseerd onder de naam Amsterdam – Superball  "voor drags, queers, freaks en alles daartussen in." Tien tot elf  huizen strijden er in drie ronden (Lipsync, Dance-off en catwalk) om de titel 'Superball House of the Year' award te winnen.

Amsterdam – Superball
Sinds 2015 wordt in Amsterdam de Superball gehouden, het grootste dragball van Nederland (Europa) voor Drags, queers, freaks en alles daartussen in. Tien tot elf  huizen strijden er in drie ronden (Lipsync, Dance-off en catwalk) om de titel 'Superball House of the Year' award te winnen.

Fabulous Showgirls Stars Road Tour 1 juli 2017
Fabulous Showgirls Stars Road Tour was een avondvullende cabaret show waarin dragqueens centraal stonden. Het Blue Collar Theater in Eindhoven was omgetoverd tot een sfeervolle nachtclub met tafels en stoelen. De avond werd gepresenteerd door Miss Travestie Holland 2012, miss Malibu Mattel. Glitter en glamour stonden die avond centraal met optredens van artiesten uit binnen- en buitenland, voornamelijk playback maar er werd ook life gezongen. En waren optredens van “the Shining Stars” : Kayleigh, Starina en Iris. Daarnaast stonden Daisy D-Zire, Madame Gisela, Sa Mara en Miguel Alen Mistinguett op het podium. Fabulous Showgirls Stars Road Tour is productie van Jeanine Stage and Entertainment Group en Showentertainment.
